The Grant County School District in Michigan serves as a cornerstone of education for the local community

The Grant County School District in Michigan serves as a cornerstone of education for the local community. With approximately 5,000 students and a dedicated staff of around 300 educators and support personnel, the district is committed to providing a nurturing and effective learning environment.

In August 2022, Tanya, alongside a team from A21, conducted a pivotal training session for the district’s educators and staff. This training focused on raising awareness about child trafficking and equipping the school personnel with the necessary knowledge and tools to identify and prevent potential cases within their community.

Tanya took the stage as one of the keynote speakers at a well-attended event in Grant County, where the entire community was warmly invited to delve into the critical issue of child trafficking. The gathering saw an impressive turnout, including the Grant County mayor, the superintendent of schools, and a broad cross-section of the community, from law enforcement and first responders to engaged parents and local business leaders. The evident enthusiasm and commitment of the attendees underscored the collective resolve to fortify the defenses of educators and the community at large in safeguarding children and fostering a secure educational environment.
