  At this event, Tanya presented the results of a pilot program for a K-12 child trafficking awareness and prevention curriculum that was implemented in Duval County, Florida. Her presentation highlighted the effectiveness of the curriculum in raising awareness and equipping students with the knowledge and skills to recognize and prevent trafficking. Additionally, Tanya’s presentation addressed the challenges faced by teachers and administrators throughout Florida in meeting the state’s new mandate, which requires every child, in every grade, every year, to receive education on child trafficking prevention. This mandate has led to a significant demand for relevant and effective content to create Child Trafficking Free Zones in schools.
